Jul 27 2007, 7:48 PM EDT Taiwan would be a perfect place for Mr. Bourdain to go. Its another good example of old meets new. From the capital Taipei, to the mountains and the country side. Then all the way to Kaohsiung (where I was born), and Kenting. The food is amazing and the place is beautiful. He could possibly even go to my aunt's pub. But regardless of how good the food is and how pretty some of the views are, the experience of just being there is the best part. 1 out of 2 found this valuable. Do you? |

Jun 8 2008, 9:26 PM EDT Kenting is an amazing dive location and underwater protected zone. All over Taiwan seafood, and mariculture food is fantastic. It's a great location for a short trip boat diving, rather than the great shore diving on the northeast coast of Taiwan - of course my training dives were in the Gulf of Mexico, and even the Laguna Madre limited visibility, and a muddy layer 35 to 40 feet down in the Gulf. Taiwan, has great visibility in comparison. -and the contrast between new and old is amazing there. Do you find this valuable? |
